Managing Director & Chartered Accountant

With over 30 years of experience as a qualified Chartered Accountant, Mike Turner has specialist expertise in tax planning and helping businesses to grow and become more profitable.

He oversees the whole business with a caring and personal touch for all customers. His experience covers numerous industry sectors and companies of all shapes and sizes, and he enjoys taking a hands on approach to helping customers grow their business.

Before setting up Turner & Turner in 1996, Mike was previously a partner in national firm, BDO Stoy Heywood.

Henry Abell

Accountants Senior Manager

Henry is a Chartered Certified Accountant responsible for accounting compliance within the firm. Having joined Turner & Turner in 2012, he is an expert in helping small businesses develop and grow. His versatility means he can also provide additional support to our larger Clients.

Jean Nelson

VAT Manager

Jean is AAT qualified and has been the firm’s VAT Manager for over ten years. As well as running the VAT and department, Jean spends a considerable amount of her time helping Clients with their bookkeeping systems, whether these are manual or computerised.

Jean is an expert in Xero, Sage, and Quick Books bookkeeping packages and has helped many of our customers develop and improve the accounting/bookkeeping side of their business.

Lynda Damsell

Administration and Client Support Manager

Lynda has been with the firm for over ten years and is responsible for all the firm’s day to day administrative and client support issues. She acts as the first port of call for many of our Clients when they need information with regard to their affairs. She also deals with most sales invoicing matters and credit control.

Marie Kilduff

Payroll & Auto Enrolment Specialist

Marie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals. She can answer all those day to day payroll queries that mean that you will avoid the new steep fines for Auto Enrolment whilst keeping your staff happy!

In the past she has been a Director of a Payroll and Pension specialist company.

Lynda Rainford

Personal Tax and Payroll Manager

Lynda is ATT qualified and is responsible for the preparation of our Client's personal tax returns. She is an expert in all tax matters, including capital gains. Prior to coming to work for us she was a personal tax advisor at a large national firm.

She also oversees the running of the Payroll Department.
